All the rumours are true, Lizzo is a fan of South African designer Gert-Johan Coetzee!
In an Instagram post promoting her new series Watch out for the big Grrrls, the pop superstar wore a Gert-Johan Coetzee design – and she’s in love.
The show, which debuted on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, follows 13 plus-size women as they compete to become Lizzo’s backup dancers at the 2021 Bonnaroo music festival.
“CAN WE HAVE A LITTLE COMMOTION FOR THE GLAM?” the Juice hitmaker captioned a photo showing off the cobalt blue creation.

Speaking to Channel24, Coetzee said he worked closely with celebrity stylist Jason Rembert to create the piece.
“It was such an honour to work with such an iconic team; the beaded skirt and top took over 2 months to construct and was complemented by a dramatic tulle jacket in cobalt blue,” he said.
Previously, Cardi B wore a beaded gown and corset by Coetzee to her husband Offset’s birthday celebration in Atlanta in 2020.
