Kim Kardashian West admits husband Kanye West was warned that dating her would “sink” his career.

The rapper defied his advisers when he struck up a romance with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star in 2012 after they told him being associated with a reality star would negatively affect his image.

Speaking in a preview of forthcoming documentary True Hollywood Story, which analyses Kim’s rise to fame, she said: ‘I mean, everyone would tell him “You can’t be with her, she’s a reality star. She’s going to sink your career!”

Lupita made the crowd roar during her interview when she introduced ‘Troublemaker’ her freestyle-rapping-cat-eye sunglasses-wearing alter-ego. ‘That’s a dope beat,’ she said as she began to vibe with the beat The Roots played in the background. That was when the actress threw down some rhymes that included a shout-out to Jay-Z and Beyoncé for referencing her on The Lion King: The Gift track Brown Skin Girl as well as a plug for her new book. Sulwe drops on October 15, while Little Monsters will debut on Hulu on October 11.
