The Radio presenter cum TV personality Anita Nderu was the stand-in host on The Trend this past Friday but she struggled to speak Swahili as she interviewed the popular Githeriman. She has since been under fire from fans.
At first, she started the interview with her English comfort zone before revealing that she had been asked to do the interview in Kiswahili. That’s when things fell apart, the Chinua Achebe way. Social media attacked her mercilessly. Later on, she offered her explanation for her limited Swahili.
Here’s how she responded.
I grew up in Eldoret but I was only exposed to English. We can all be in the same town but know very different things. Don't stereotype ❤ pic.twitter.com/PyV4cl9o7v

In other words, she is simply saying that neither Swahilinor Sheng was spoken in the posh neighborhoods where she grew up. Got it?
Anita Nderu attended the United States International University. She is of mixed race too. Her mother is Somali and her dad is Kikuyu. So please people, understand that she is part of the elite citizens. Kiswahili sio mdomo chake.
