Kenyan Socialite, Risper Faith’s Advice To Netizens On How To Maintain Long Lasting Relationships

Right from the beginning of their relationship, curvaceous Kenyan socialite Risper Faith and her husband, businessman Brian Muiruri, admitted to having had rocky days in their union. Sharing their relationship struggles with netizens on social media, Risper revealed that during their first years of getting to know each other, they constantly argued and as a result fought almost every day.

With time, however, the mother of one explained that they found a middle ground and grew to understand each other which in turn helped them avoid petty fights that might have led to something worse.

“Let’s talk about fighting in a relationship… In my experience during our first year into dating we used to fight almost on a daily basis, second year maybe every week, third year it narrowed down to once a month and nowadays we barely fight.

The fights in relationships bring partners closer to each other. She went on to encourage individuals whose relationships are going through the same phase to remain hopeful, adding that intimacy right after helps as well.

“It’s okay to fight to make the love stronger and to understand each other.

Speaking in a previous interview with SDE, Risper disclosed that her husband reached out to her through social media but she did not pay much attention to him because she was used to advances from men. A few months later, Brian, who was living in the US at the time, flew down to Kenya to meet her and it is then that she realized he was serious about dating her.

“I thought it was a joke because I get a lot of that kind of mail. After responding to him two months later, he came over and I realised after meeting him that he was serious.

Back then, I was living in Kiambu and he had to spend a night in my house after which he promised to move me to Kilimani, where I now live. It has taken time for us to get to where we are now. I only agreed to let my heart go when he introduced me to his family,” she said.

The couple is now blessed with one son and is living their dream despite the challenges they faced at the beginning.

Risper’s advice to netizens echoes that of popular Gospel singer Evelyne Wanjiru who had advice for individuals anticipating to settle down in marriage. “Marry someone who can carry the weight and the burden of your vision, marriage is beyond sex and bearing children.

It is disastrous to marry someone who doesn’t show any interest in what you’re called to do.

“As you are falling in love with him/her also fall in love with their calling, profession, passion and vision. You must first discover yourself and your discovery will be the parameter at which you make your marital decision. I hope this blessed you,” she wrote.
