The artist who turned to God not vlong ago, on Saturday, June 1, got an uncommon fete in the wake of getting an esteemed gospel award for the first time ever.

News Of Africa learnt Wahu was named Video of the Year Award winner in the just concluded Groove Awards which went down at the Mövenpick Hotel Westlands, Nairobi. This was her debut Groove Award and gospel fete since she ditched secular music for gospel.
Excited Wahu who was accompanied to the event by her hubby Nameless, a secular musician, could not help but share the blessing with her fans on social media.

”My first ever Groove Award. Thanks family,” she wrote. Following her post, fans invaded the comments section with endless congratulatory messages, with many urging her to churn even more gospel jams, since she had already shown potential in the industry.
It should be noted Wahu is one of the best legendary female musicians who has been doing considerably well in the industry over the years.
