Kenyan Socialite Vera Sidika has revealed that ex-boyfriend Otile Brown restrained her from exploring her musical talent while they were together.
Speaking in a radio interview, Sidika claimed that producers would beacon her to sing whenever they heard her singing Otile’s music in the studio but Otile didn’t entertain the thought that she could make a hit.
“When my ex-was recording I used to take him to the studio and he would be in the booth and when he sings because I had heard the song a couple of times I would sing and the producer would be like wow you can sing, you should try music,” said Vera.
Sidika is currently riding high after making her debut in the music industry with Nalia.
The song has not only impressed her fans but is also on its way to hit a million vex-wasn YouTube. Nalia was inspired by her ugly break up with Otile.
Vera has been a video vixen for several years now but never really thought about making her own hit till recently. She said that while producers saw her talent all along, Otile chose to ignore it.
“My ex was like ‘I don’t think you should sing because you look like you are trying too hard and stuff, maybe you should just do what you do.’ But after I said why not give it a try,” she said in the interview.
