Performer Otile Brown has been left checking misfortunes after his hit music video ‘Chaguo La Moyo’ was pulled down from YouTube in the wake of hitting more than 1.4 million perspectives.
The video-sharing site erased the video following copyright fights over the melody.
A lady distinguished as Janet Kipsang reached YouTube and made a case for it.
The ‘Chaguo la Moyo’ video track, which was worth half a million shillings in production costs, is a collaboration between Otile and sultry singer Sanaipei Tande.
According to one of Otile’s handlers who spoke to Nairobi News, there is no Janet Kipsang but an enemy using the name as an alias to try and bring him down.
“There is no Janet Kipsang, that is just someone using that name as an alias to try and cripple Otile’s moves. But am sure the video will be back as the matters is being pursued.
‘EXPENSIVE PROJECT’
“It was a very expensive project claiming about over Ksh500,000 in production because they kept postponing its shooting at Azzuri Hotel, Nairobi, due to unavoidable circumstances and you know that alone had a huge impact on logistics budget” the handler said.
In a post on social media, Otile blasted his enemies for the move and promised his fans more hits starting next week as his team follows up the YouTube matter.
“So YouTube @youtube just removed #chaguolamoyo from my channel with over 1.4million views due to copyright claims got me wondering why would someone claim for my own sh* . Damn this is so shady . I work soo hard but people tryna fight me every day. I seem cool and stupid to some people but am a beast brah and you can’t kill me easily coz I got Gods favor in me .. am not even mad am just disappointed how people can be this mean in this game .. my team is working on it but I won’t stress coz I got so much hits songs to flood the game .but , just be careful it doesn’t cost you big time .. it’s a stupid move, hope it gives you peace .. Don’t worry my fans I gat you,” Otile posted.
