A female police officer has died after shooting herself at the JKIA.
Corporal Gaudencia Wausi is said to have committed suicide after reporting back to work from leave on Tuesday.
The Star reports the officer who was attached to the JKIA police station committed the offense inside a toilet at the airport.
Cases of suicide within the police force have been on the rise, with studies blaming the trend on exposure to murders, road crashes and homicides.
According to statistics, at least 28 officers killed themselves last year.
