A fire which gutted one of the rooms in a building in Johannesburg central, has been extinguished, Emergency Medical Services said on Thursday.
EMS spokesperson Robert Malaudzi said there was no one in the room when emergency services arrived.
“We managed to extinguish the fire before any of the other rooms were affected,” Malaudzi said.
The incident happened at about 11:00 on Thursday morning in Pritchard and Goud streets.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
