Here’s How Kenyan Singer Akothee Landed A Music Deal With Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz

Akothee remains the only Kenyan artist to have struck a music deal with bongo star, Diamond Platnumz.

The two celebrity giants invented ´Sweet Love´ whose reception across East Africa and beyond, was of a kind.

Funny thing though, soon after their jam release, fans presumed the black beauty must have cashed in an investment to get the collabo.

However, Madam Boss shortly after housed Nigeria´s performer, Flavour in ´Give it to me´ Afropop anthem.

And to top it up, the Kenyan beauty was speculated to have dropped another mega investment on the Nigerian Prince as well.

Deal

To clarify it all, Akothee speaks to K24´s Eric Njoka but fails to disclose the actual amount she invested in Platinumz.

She trashes 2 million as mere money but points out that it was more about the song than the money.

What is 2 million, that´s peanuts…

I´m not saying no but I´m not saying yes…

We don´t have to talk about prices, if the song was not good then if we had pay we would ask for our money back…

Speaking to Mpasho, the ´Kanyaga´ singer reiterated the same, clarifying that it is not all about the money but whether the artist in the first place, has the drive and passion.

Akothee hakunilipa.

Tulifanya tu nyimbo kwa sababu ni mtu ambaye ana moyo wa kufanya kitu…
