Having just attributed his success to the Almighty God and KK Fosu, D-Flex has recounted how his mentor KK schooled him to be who he is today.
His statement about his journey with KK Fosu, “I struggled a lot before meeting KK, I swept studios, I’ve had to carry keyboards and the likes until I finally met KK.
“I washed KK’s shoes and clothes before I became D-Flex,” he recounted. “With a voice like D-Flex’s, can you believe he used to be just a rapper and not singer?
As a matter of fact, KK Fosu made him the singer he is today.
“When I met KK, he told me he loved the language I rap in but rap did not have a future so I should sing instead. He offered to train me to sing,” he revealed.
“He drilled me so hard during the training process; he would hit me in the stomach and tell me to sing from my stomach. It was tough but it helped,” he added.
The struggle is real and it pays off.
