The Management of the Despite Media Group, the parent company of United Television (UTV), has apologized to a famous actress and media personality, Joselyn Dumas for editing her interview about John Dumelo on ‘Atuu’– an entertainment show broadcast on UTV.
During the interview, the host, Abeiku Santana asked Joselyn whether she has dated John Dumelo before and the video was then edited to make it seem she admitted to having had a two-year affair with Dumelo when she, in fact, said exactly the opposite.
That enraged the actress who angrily demanded an apology and retraction which has now been rendered by the station.
In a statement, management of Despite Media apologize to Dumas and claimed they meant no malice with the publication as the ‘Atuu’ program is meant to “celebrate achievers in the entertainment industry.”
