Boxer Tyson Fury to Donate KSh 1 billion to Assist The Poor, Homeless

Celebrated British boxer Tyson Fury is set to give away every penny of his ten figure pay cheque to the poor after his hotly-contested fight with Deontay Wilder.

Speaking moments before the bout that was decided at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, Fury pledged not to keep the staggering amount of money he was going to receive to himself and his family.

According to reports in the UK, the 30-year-old is expected to pocket a sum amounting to KSh 1 billion (£8 million) after the incredible bout.

Assuming he stays true to his word, the Gypsy King will donate the money to the less fortunate – a class gesture befitting a man who has created so much awareness about mental health.

“I’m going to give it to the poor and I’m going to build homes for the homeless. I don’t really have much use for it, I’m not interested in becoming a millionaire or a billionaire,”

“I’m a boxer, not a businessman and I’ll probably go down the same route as every other boxer – skint at the end of it all.

“You can’t take it with you so I might as well do something with it and help out people who can’t help themselves,” he added.

Be that as it may, Fury, who is a father of four had a special message for his kids, challenging them to work for what they get so they appreciate it more.

“It’s easy to spend someone else’s money and the money I’ve earned is practically blood money. My kids have to make their own living and make their own way in life; they won’t be living off my name or reputation because that’s too easy a route,” he warned.

Despite outboxing Wilder during the controversial bout on Saturday, December 1, the judges scored the fight a draw.
