Royal insiders are convinced that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is pregnant with twins!
Our Correspondent reported rumors of twins have been running rampant ever since Meghan (37) was pictured cradling her growing baby bump on Christmas Day at the queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England.
In October last year Kensington Palace announced that Megs and Prince Harry (34) are expecting their first child together. The baby is due in the spring (autumn in South Africa).
Royal watchers are so convinced that the pair will be welcoming twins that they’ve been furiously betting. According to Our Correspondent, bookies had to suspend betting last month after having received a flurry of bets.
“We saw an almost identical pattern of betting before the announcements of the couple’s engagement and pregnancy,” a spokesperson for bookie Paddy Power says.
“An unprecedented number of bets on Meghan and Harry to have twins has forced us to stop taking bets on the market altogether,” he adds.
“The stream of bets has led us to believe that perhaps the punters – or an insider source – knows something more than we do.”
If Megs is indeed pregnant with twins, it will be the first British royal twins in 600 years!
The last recorded pair of royal twins were born to James I of Scotland and his wife Queen Joan in October 1430, according to Daily Star. Unfortunately, one baby, Alexander, died but his brother James went on to become king.
According to Our Correspondent, BabyCentre moms-to-be over 35 years old are much more likely to have multiple births.
“For moms in their 20s, one in 16 pregnancies results in twins. For moms aged 35 to 39, one in five pregnancies results in twins.”
“It’s all in the hormones,” adds the site says.
We wait with bated breaths to see if we’ll be welcoming one or two royal babies.
