A KANU official says that the shouting match between President Uhuru Kenyatta and CORD leader Raila Odinga in Narok was wrong and urged them to apologize to Kenyans.
The two leaders went for each other’s throats at the funeral of former Cabinet Minister William Ole Ntimama, trading political blows which threatened to turn ugly.
And according to Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo, the incident was embarrassing and worth an apology to Kenyans.
“Kenyans deserve an apology from their leaders who have decided to wash their dirty laundry in public,” he told News24.
He said that despite there being freedom of speech and expression, such incidences should not play out in public.
“It was disappointing to see such an incident take place and it was in front of the nation at the funeral of a public servant. That is wrong,” he added.
Lonyangapuo joins Musalia Mudavadi the ANC leader in asking for the two leaders to apologize to Kenyans.
