APGA Calls For Fresh Governorship Election In Kogi

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and its candidate in the November 21 governorship election in Kogi state, Goodman Akwu, have called for fresh governorship election in the state.

The party made the call on Monday in Abuja during cross-examination at the resumed hearing of petition which the party and its candidate filed before the tribunal.

The party said the governorship election was not free and fair.

The party noted that the election of Gov Yahaya Bello did not follow the due process as provided by the law.

The party told the tribunal that there was no place in the world where a candidate could inherit votes he was not part of the process.

It said the process in which Bello became the governor was a strange process that needed to be challenged.
