American Comedian, Chris D’elia Accepts Eminem’s Rap Battle Challenge[VIDEO]

American Comic Act. Chris D’Elia was elated when he discovered Eminem and Logic sampled his viral shady impression on the outro of their “Homicide” collaboration. While advancing the track on Instagram Tuesday (May 7), the hip-hop star, tested the TV star to a rap battle.

“Me and @chrisdelia are gonna battle one day,” he wrote.

When D’elia, who raps under the Chank Smith alias, caught wind of Eminem’s post, he immediately accepted the challenge.

“Slim Shady himself called me out?! I accept,” D’Elia captioned a post of a selfie of him with a trunk full of napkins, a reference to his Sept. 2018 video mocking the Detroit rapper.

Eminem seems to be quite impressed by D’Elia’s imitation of him. He posted shared a clip of the comedian’s video titled “Eminem in the cypher,” along with the caption: “This is INCREDIBLE!!!,” he wrote, “4 a second I actually thought it WAS me!!” — see clip above.

D’Elia told Billboard that Logic’s team contacted him days before “Homicide” dropped. He was so honored to be featured on the record that he refused to accept payment for the sample.

“I was like, ‘Nah, don’t do that, just give it to ’em, it’s fine,” he said. “I don’t care, man. It’s a huge honor. I have money coming in other ways. I don’t need that […] But why the fuck would I say no to Eminem? I’ve been a fan for 20 years! I’m not trying to make money in the rap world. It’s first an honor. I did my silly impression in my garage. I say, ‘have at it.’ I make money doing what I do.”
