Legendary TV Personality, Regis Philbin Dies At 88

Legendary TV personality Regis Philbin has died. He was 88.

Sharing a statement with PEOPLE, Regis’ family confirmed that the longtime TV host died on Friday of natural causes.

According to TMZ, Regis died after suffering a heart attack in his home in Manhattan, New York.

Throughout his illustrious career, Regis hosted a number of popular programs, most notably the talk show Live! With Regis and Kelly from 1988 to 2011 and the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire from 1999 to 2002 and 2009.

Regis has been called the “hardest working man in show business,” and holds a Guiness World Record for most hours on US television, and in 2006 he was inducted into the TV Academy’s Hall of Fame.
