New York rapper, Fred The Godson has died from Coronavirus complications two weeks after he tested positive for the deadly disease. He was 35.
Fred announced his diagnosis on April 6 with a photo of him in the hospital wearing an oxygen mask to help him breathe.
He wrote: ‘I’m in here with this Corvus 19 shit! Please keep me in y’all prayers!!!! #godisgreat.’
Fred’s death was confirmed by his friend DJ Self on Thursday afternoon, April 23.
The New York DJ wrote in an Instagram post: “Was loved by many never heard one bad thing about you RIP @fredthegodsonmusic Sleep Well my brother.”

French Montana also took to Instagram to mourn Fred The Godson’s death, writing:’ Rip @fredthegodsonmusic damn this is wack! Stay home corona is real.’

Fred’s collaborator Jaquae wrote: “Sleep in peace my brother….. ??? You’ll never be forgotten. LOVE U MAN. I have so much things to say but I’m lost right now.”
