‘RIP Kobe Bryant Until We Meet Again’ – Singer Wendy Shay’s Tweet That Got Ghanaians Talking

While the world is solemnly mourning the death of America’s superstar Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, trolls have gone for the head of musician Wendy Shay over her tweet.

US basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna are among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in the city of Calabasas, California.

Bryant, 41, and Gianna, 13, were travelling in a private helicopter when it crashed and burst into flames.

The Rufftown Records artiste mourning the death of the superstar tweeted, “RIP Kobe Bryant until we meet again.”

It is not clear whether Wendy Shay had a personal relationship with the late superstar, however, Ghanaian twitter trolls found her words as ‘an attention-seeking.’

“Do you know him? He doesn’t sing o,” a user with the name @WagesWorld asked Wendy Shay.

Her tweet which has over 3K likes and over 100 retweets, has generated lots of discussions on Ghana’s trends.

On Saturday, a tweet from Wendy Shay triggered insults from tweets with some describing her as a ‘sick’, ‘childish’ and ‘dumb’ individual whose ultimate aim is to make ‘senseless’ statements to trend.
