Taylor Swift has grabbed her sixth U.S. number one album as Lover sets hearts aflutter at number one with 867 000 sales, according to Billboard.
It’s the most massive sales week for any album since Taylor’s last 2017 release Reputation,
The 29-year-old singer is now the first female artist to have six different albums each sell at least 500 000 copies in a single week.
Taylor marked the astronomical numbers by posting a heartfelt video talking directly to her fans.
She said in part: “I just have to say to you guys, thank you so much for one of the best weeks of my life. I can’t thank you enough,”.
