The local sportsman took to Twitter on Friday night to share the story about how while paying for his groceries, his cashier wouldn’t believe he is, in fact, JP Duminy.
South African cricketer, JP Duminy recalled a hilarious encounter with a fan while grocery shopping that is just too funny not to share.
“Paying for groceries at Pick n Pay, Cashier: ‘Do you watch cricket?’ Me: ‘Sometimes, why?’ Cashier: ‘Do you know Duminy?’ Me: ‘Yes’,” JP wrote. “Cashier: ‘Is he your brother????’ Me: ‘No, I am him.’ Cashier: ‘Eishhhhh don’t lie man’ (sic)”
The 34-year-old ended his tweet by noting that his day was totally made!
