The tear-jerking flick was released in 2004 and made everyone fall in love with Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. The film was based on a Nicholas Sparks book which was released in 1996.
Songwriter Ingrid Michaelson will be writing the songs, while This is Us producer Bekah Brunstetter will be writing the adaptation.
The musical will be staged on Broadway.
Nicholas Sparks tweeted out the details after Ingrid announced the adaptation on NBC’s The Today Show.
