WCB President Diamond Platnumz has bought state of the art equipment for his yet to launch radio station, Wasafi FM.
In a series of videos he shared on his Instagram stories, Chibu displayed the multi-million equipment he had bought for Wasafi FM to be launched soon, which included digital mixers, DJ decks and Microphones.

This comes just months after the father of three launched Wasafi TV which has been received well and continues to scale up as one of the top Tanzanian TV stations.Diamond Platnumz

Diamond opted to start his own radio and TV stations after top media houses in Tanzania gave him a blackout and stopped playing music from all artistes that were signed under his WCB record label.

According to reports, two Major Media houses, Clouds Media Group that houses Clouds FM/TV and the East Africa Media (East Africa Radio) could not play songs from WCB at the time.

Broadcasting license
In February 2018, Chibu Dangote was given broadcasting licenses for the TV and Radio stations, by the Minister of Information, Culture, Tourism and Sports in Zanzibar.

“Today we were officially handed broadcasting license for @wasafitvand @wasafifm by the Minister of Information, Culture, Tourism and Sports Zanzibar, Hon. Rashid Ali Juma. Many thanks to the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar and the entire government of United Republic of Tanzania as a whole,” said Diamond.
