Coldplay Now Have The Third Biggest Grossing Tour Of All Time

The British pop rockers made a gross of $523m (£376m) from their 2016-17 Head Full of Dreams tour, according to Billboard.

A total of 5.4m tickets were sold over 114 performances in 83 venues, the biggest of which was a two-show run in Brazil at Sao Paulo’s Allianz Parque stadium.

Guns N’ Roses follow at number four based on their $475m grossing 123 headline shows, which is still ongoing with shows booked later this year, including the UK’s Download Festival in June.

Thus far, they’ve sold more than 4.3 million tickets on the Not In This Lifetime…tour.

The top two, which will take some effort to shift, are U2 and The Rolling Stones.
