The 43-year-old Moonlight star posted the black and white photo of him cradling his daughter and captioned it: “Bari x Abu”. “Abu” meaning “father” in Arabic.
Bari Najma Ali is a month old and she happens to be his first and only child with wife Amatus Sami-Karim. He had earlier shared a photo of the little girl with his wife cradling her, to announce her birth, days after she was born.
Ali was raised a Christian but converted to Islam while he was in graduate school after visiting a mosque with his wife and her mother.
