Shocking! Kenyan Police Officer Caught On Camera Assaulting Civilian

A dramatic video has surfaced online capturing a civilian fighting with a police officer who insulted him as kihii (a derogatory Kikuyu word meaning a man who is uncircumcised).

The video starts in the mid of the confrontation between the uniformed police officer and the furious man, thus making it impossible to determine the origin of the scuffle.

However, from the references made in the video, the civilian appears to have been angered after the traffic officer assaulted him while he was parking his car.

As the video starts, the man is seen pushing the traffic officer, lamenting, “unanipiga mimi?( you are beating me?…I don’t want to know who you are…mbona unanipiga ngumi? (why are you beating me?).”

The motorist then turns to address a group that is not captured on camera, “si mumeona nyinyi vile amenipiga…nani hajaona? (you have all seen him beating me, who hasn’t seen?).”

The cop remains calm as the civilian laments, but on the 50th second, he responds to the man in Kikuyu.

The officer’s remarks are not well audible in the video but the civilian gets worked up and loudly reacts, “unaiita kihii? Kwani sijatahiri (you are calling me uncircumcised, am I not circumcised?)”.

Unable to control his anger, the car owner attacks the officer, grabbing him by the neck and forcing off his helmet which falls to the ground.

The police officer responds by picking up something that appears to be a stone and hits the man on the head, leaving him bleeding profusely.

Despite sustaining an injury, the man does not cool off but goes ahead to shove the officer’s motorbike which falls to the ground. He then sits on it before the officer picks him up and starts to give him first aid.
