Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya says that CORD leader Raila Odinga did not answer his calls on several occasions when he called to consult him on a number of matters.

It was then that Mvurya heard that ODM was going for former Cabinet Minister Chirau Ali Mwakwere to be the next Governor that he decided enough was enough and quit.

He accused Raila of sidelining him despite supporting the former Prime Minister during supposed tough times.

” Raila did not tell me about his plans for the future. He did not answer my calls. He kicked me out of ODM,” Mvurya told News24.

He has now announced plans to join the Jubilee Party.

In a rejoinder though, CORD leadership stated that Mvurya was making up accusations to gains sympathy from voters.

” Maybe his tongue slipped. I do not know. He has to explain to us in the coming weeks. He must decide where he wants to go,” Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho told News24.

Mvurya is expected to attend the Jubilee Party launch in Nairobi this weekend.
