As both parliaments start debating the report on IEBC by the special committee, Budalangi member of Parliament has threatened to move to court to challenge the implementation of the report if Parliament passes it without amendments.
Ababu says that if Parliament adopts the report as it is then he will move to court to challenge it’s legality. Speaking Wednesday during an interview at a local radio station, Ababu called on members of Parliament to reject clauses in the bill which prohibit politicians from party hoping terming them as unconstitutional.
He said that curtailing Kenyans in certain political parties is something that should be rejected.
“The bill has some clauses that should be amended and if that fails to happen then I will be moving to court to challenge the implementation of that bill,”said Ababu.
“Members of Parliament must reject those clauses which are for curtailing Kenyans and denying their democratic right ,”he added Ababu however said that he support the implementation of the rest of the report
