Senate leader, Ali Ndume has warned agitators of the restructuring of Nigeria to be careful of what they wished for while saying that good governance instead of restructuring was the solution to strengthening the economy,Vanguard reports.
Ndume added that the Federal Government needed to focus on finding solutions to the enormous challenges facing the country such as the dwindling economy and security instead of restructuring.
“Nobody should claim monopoly of interest of the people from his or her area by sitting down with few others and calling other zones, saying that Nigeria should restructure; no, I don’t support that. “I support collective decision by Nigerians. We came together collectively not by force, not by insult, but by negotiation,” he said.
The Senate leader pointed out that the increase in the price of oil in the international market as well as reaching an agreement with the Niger Delta Avengers would see the country move on from the hardships experienced.
While adding that the finger of blame could not be pointed at President Muhammadu Buhari as his critics themselves could not come up with solutions to the problems Nigeria faces.
