A policewoman based in Homa Bay on Sunday killed her two children and self.
The 28-year-old cop is said to have locked up herself and the children in their house before setting it on fire.
Neighbours said that Judith Karandi had been having marital problems with her husband who works for the Homa Bay County Government, Citizen Digital reports.
Cases of suicide within the police force have been on the rise, with studies blaming the trend on exposure to murders, road crashes and homicides.
According to statistics, at least 28 officers killed themselves last year.
