Jie Baogang built the helicopter all by himself without any aviation knowledge
A Chinese farmer has left many people stunned after he built and tested his own helicopter after seven years.
The man identified as Jie Baogang, after 10 years of intensive effort managed to take off in his home-made gyrocopter, in Balitun, Hebei province.
Baogang, who has no formal aviation training, seemed delighted as he witnessed his aircraft lift-off in the northern Hebei province.
