Kwale police are holding a 45 years old man for allegedly defiling his seven years old daughter.
The incident took place at Azuani village in Shimoni LungaLunga sub county according to police.
Confirming the incident Shimoni OCS Abdullah Tato said that the suspect Benson Abuch is being held at Shimoni police post.
He said that the suspect threatened to kill the victim after sexually assaulting her in his house.
“Her mother found the minor with injuries in her private parts before she realized that she was sexually assaulted. After asking her she revealed that her father was the suspect,” he added.
Tato said that the minor had body injuries a sign that she was assaulted to ensure she could not spill the beans about the issue.
“That is inhuman act and as police e are investigating to ensure justice prevail. He sees to have beaten the girl to create fear so that she don’t tell anyone about it but good enough her mother found out the truth,” he said.
It is unfortunately, he said the suspect sexually abused the minor after inserting fingers into her private part which is against the law of the land.
Tato said the suspect will be taken to court once investigation into the matter is complete to face defilement charges.
“We are not going to tolerate such incidents and therefore we are warning others who could be doing the same that we are going to get them. We are asking members of public to volunteer information when such incidents occurs to ensure justice prevails to innocent minors,” he appealed
