Support Deputy President Ruto In 2017 Elections To Show Loyalty MP Tells Kenyan President Uhuru

Support Deputy President William Ruto in the 2017 elections to show loyalty, an MP has told President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi says that the DP should earn the support of the President for helping him win the 2013 polls and supporting him through his first term in office without too many reservations.

He called on the President to win the support of the Kalenjin community by doing so.

” The President must show that he is serious about his pact with the Kalenjin community by giving the DP a chance in 2017,” he stated.

He added that Uhuru and Ruto risk the chance of losing support from the Kalenjin community in the coming election if they do not assure them that the DP will get support from the Kikuyu community in the 2022 elections.

” As we can see, they have already started talk of dumping the DP come the 2022 elections,” he stated.

He called on the Kalenjin community to join the CORD Coalition and support Raila Odinga to teach the Kikuyus a lesson.

” The Kalenjins will be used and dumped by Jubilee and that will not happen at ODM and CORD,” he added.

There has been talk in recent times that the 2022 elections will see Kikuyus not back the DP, despite him backing the President on two occasions.

That talks has been dismissed by State House but has been more profound in the last few days.
