A Jubilee Coalition MP wants those against the supposed nomination of DP William Ruto for the Presidency in 2022 ejected from the coalition.
Kiharu MP Irungu Kangata has petitioned the TNA win of the Jubilee Coalition to revoke Senator Paul Njoroge nomination over his remarks on DP Ruto 2022 presidential ambition.
Njoroge had stated that Ruto would not get Kikuyu backing for the polls, despite President Uhuru Kenyatta’s endorsement.
And thus Kangata wants him removed from the party.
” The message has been clear from the President down to the whole Coalition that the DP will get the support of the Kikuyu community come the elections, thus my view that he should be ejected for stating otherwise,” he told News24 on phone.
Kangata stated that people such as Njoroge are hell bent on killing the Jubilee spirit and must not be allowed to continue in the same vein.
” The utterances are clearly a ploy to cause problems within the coalition and must not be allowed to take root for the sake of unity in the coalition,” he added.
Njoroge has already been criticised by State House over the matter.
