Nigeria: APC Attacks President Buhari Over Senate President Bukola Saraki

The Kwara state chapter of the All Progressives Party(APC) has reignited the war of words against the President Muhammadu Buhari administration by reechoing Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s views that there is a “government within a government,” Naij reports.

The state chapter also publicly criticised Femi Adesina in a statement, accusing him of trying to create discord between the President and the Senate leadership.

“The statement by Femi Adesina on behalf of the president is not only unpresidential, it also failed to convincingly dismiss the widely held view of Nigerians that, indeed, there is a government within a government of the president.”

News24 Nigeria reported that the Presidency in a statement strongly dismissed the insinuation that it was functioning as a “government within a government” saying that the allegation was not worth the paper it was written on.

The APC further criticised Adesina and what they believed were attempts by him to create discord between the Presidency and Senate, but assured Nigerians that that would never happen.
