A Nigerian Pastor who works as a school accountant in the United Kingdom has been granted a 9-year prison sentence for stealing approximately 4.1 million pounds of school funds, The Daily Post reports.

Sam Kayode, 59, who is also a part-time pastor was found guilty of stealing the huge sum of money from the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation Trust in South London.

The DailyMail reported that Kayode is said to have spent the large sum of money on an extravagant lifestyle, buying a string of properties.

The case which has been kept secret for almost two years is believed to be the UK’s biggest ever education fraud.

Kayode was instructed to pay the 4.1 million pounds back but has failed to do so with there being fears that he has transferred most of it back to Nigeria.
