Nigeria: Ex- Kebbi Governor Dakingari Nabbed By EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reported the arrest of former Kebbi State Governor Saidu Dakingari, Naij has confirmed.

The ex-Governor, who is currently being quizzed by the anti-graft agency, is alleged to have been involved in the sharing of N450 million from a slush fund belonging to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

In addition, Dakingari was also requested to explain how a further N550 million  in state funds was diverted to the PDP during the 2015 presidential elections,This Day reports.

According to a statement released by Kano media head of the EFCC, Medard Ehimika, Dakingari has been cooperative with officials thus far and was detained at the EFCC headquarters for several hours before his release.
