Officer Charged For Hitting Colleague While Reversing GSU Land Cruiser

A GSU officer who ran over his colleague with a GSU Land cruiser in Mombasa has been charged with manslaughter.

Tanui Kiplagat allegedly ran over Joseph Wafula while reversing the vehicle on Sunday.

Another officer who is the driver of the vehicle was also charged with negligent and recklessness that led to Wafula’s death, Standard reports.

According to reports, the driver had gone to the canteen when Tanui reversed it hitting Wafula who was standing behind it.

Tanui denied the charges and was released on KES 800 000 bond.
