Kenya: Jubilee Leader Jumps Ship To CORD

A Jubilee Coalition leader will work with CORD ahead of the 2017 General Elections.

Nick Salat of KANU, which is a Jubilee Coalition party says that he is working on a day to day formula with CORD ahead of the 2017 General Elections.

” We are interested in working with parties of similar interests and that may be CORD or another vessel. The reality is that we are looking for a formula,” he stated.

He stated that KANU was open to setting up new coalitions ahead of the polls.

” We will be part of a Coalition. There are talks with CORD because at present we are fighting for the same things,” he added.

Salat has been a part of the CORD IEBC protests, a move which has not been welcomed fully in his parent party.
