Let Me See My Husband, ODM MP’s Wife Begs Police

A spouse to an ODM MP has pleaded with police to let her see her husband who was arrested on Tuesday over alleged hate remarks he made on Monday.

Faiza Jammah, the wife of Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, said she is worried about her husbands condition especially due to the fact that he is fasting.

Faiza said police at Pangani Police station have denied her a chance to meet her husband.

“Nobody has seen them since yesterday. I came here with Iftar but they denied me a chance to even give him a glass of water,” Faiza said.

She wondered why the police were so ‘unfair’ to deny spouses a chance to meet their partners.”They even refused I give him dates,” she said.
