ODM Reveals Next Plan After Solving IEBC Stalemate

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has revealed its next plan after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries (IEBC) stalemate is solved.

The party’s Director of Elections, Junet Mohamed said they will embark on another round of massive voter registration, especially in their strongholds once the IEBC crisis is resolved.

“Once we are done with IEBC, we embark on another round of massive voter registration. Of the over 4 million adult people in Western Kenya (former western province), it is unacceptable that IEBC claims it only registered 1 million voters.

“This is part of the reasons we need a credible IEBC that doesn’t play politics with numbers,” Mohamed said on Thursday.

He urged young people to support their cause and massively register as voters in readiness for the 2017 polls.

“Every young person who supports our cause will have to talk about voter registration. Encourage your friends to register. Hold awareness forums in your village.

“In a democracy, the vote is the loudest message on how you want to be governed,” Mohamed said.
