Ahead of the June 18, 2016 governorship primary in Edo State, three state governors of the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday met with the Governor Adams Oshiomhole, reports Punch.
The governors that met with Oshiomhole were Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun) and Simon Lalung (Plateau).
the meeting, was aimed at mobilising support for the APC in the September 10 governorship election.
The meeting according to Guardian lasted till Thursday morning.
The visiting governors later paid a condolence visit to the Crown Prince Edaiken N’Uselu, Ehenden Erediauwa, over the death of the Oba of Benin.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the visit, Aregbesola said the APC governors were in the state to mobilise the party members and prepare them for the forthcoming election.
