President Uhuru Kenyatta personally called CORD leader Raila Odinga to a meeting at State House. It has emerged.
The president is said to have made the call mid- Tuesday morning and invited the CORD leader to meet him Tuesday afternoon.
” Uhuru called himself,” a CORD source claimed.
The CORD leader has made the visit to State House together with FORD Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula.
The President had been open to a meeting with the CORD leaders for a while now, having been unhappy with the number of protests over changes to be made to the IEBC.
This is after the CORD leader had called on the President to hold round table talks in a letter he wrote to the head of state.
” The President knows what we want. We have made it clear. It is up to him to seek the way forward,” the CORD leader said last week.
