A 26-year-old man is set to die by hanging after he was sentenced to death in a Delta High Court sitting.
According to Punch, Lucky Anyali was suspected of having an affair with the deceased’s wife at the time the murder took place.
One February 18, 2014, Anyali is said to have become enraged after seeing the deceased with his estranged wife and stabbed the man in the chest as a result of his anger.
After fleeing the seen, the suspect was arrested by youths in the area and subsequently handed over to officials.
He has since been found guilty and will lose his life as a result.
The deceased is said to be survived by his estranged wife and 3-year-old daughter.
The development follows on just months after a Kwara State native received the death penalty for decapitating a 9-year-old boy in Ilorin.
