A Lagos native has found himself on the police’s wanted list following reports that he had impregnated his 12-year-old niece.
According to Naij, the tricycle rider is said to have persuaded his wife, Happiness, to perform an abortion on the little girl after it emerged that his consistent defiling of the minor led to her becoming pregnant.
It has been gathered that it was during the abortion process where the suspect’s wife were arrested by officers from the Akinpelu division of the Nigeria police force in Lagos State.
Ebenezer Omejalile, a worker with the Child Protection Network, explained that the girl did not tell of her ordeal due to fear of being killed at the hands of her assailant.
While speaking with police Happiness revealed that her husband has been missing for several days since her arrest, with police confirming that both her and the nurse who helped perform the abortion have both been charged to court, Punch reports.
