Chief Commits Suicide After Being Robbed By His Secret Lover.

A chief in Subukia Sub County committed suicide after he allegedly disagreed with his secret lover over KES 6 000.

Joseph Njuguna’s body was found dangling on a rope in his bedroom on Friday with a suicide note by its side.

The 51-year-old is said to have spent one week with his secret lover before returning home only to take away his life.

Chief Njuguna, a father of seven was until his death was the assistant chief of Milimani sub location in Subukia sub-County.

According to his wife Joyce Wanjiku, her husband told her that his secret lover had made away with his official uniform and some money.

“He came home and told me that his secret lover had made away with his money and uniform and that she had threatened his life. He then requested for a pen and notebook saying that he wanted to write his will,” said Wanjiku.

“I handed him the pen and notebook and went to the farm only to find his body dangling on a rope when I came back,” she added.

Subukia police boss, Alex Ng’ang’a confirmed the incident.
