– A 6 storey building has collapsed in Huruma Nairobi with many people trapped underneath, the Kenya Red Cross has announced.
” A six storey building has collapsed in Huruma next to Buthia club. KRCS Search and Rescue team responding to the scene,” the Red Cross said in a short statement.
With the heavy rains pounding the city, initial thoughts were that the collapse had been caused by the downpour, though those concerns were yet to be adressed.
Nairobi County officials were initially unavailable when reached for comment.
