Pastor On The Hot Seat Over Alleged Land Fraud.

A businessman has accused Pastor Abel Kithinji for allegedly conning him out of Sh250 000 for the sale of a property located in Kamachege estate in South Imenti.

According to Standard Media Gideon Muriungi reported the incident on May 2014.

He says that the pastor made as if he was in position to sell the 3-acre parcel of agricultural land.

He told the court he was relieved when a friend of his introduced him to the man of the cloth as he wanted a home to settle down with his family.

An agreement was then signed with an advocate on June 30th 2014 where an initial Sh100 000 was paid then Shs150 000 later that week with the promise of getting a title deed in two months.

Only to be ignored and dismissed later on.

Pastor Kithinji has since said he received the money but still settling the succession matter.

The matter is to be hear on July 22.

Last week over 400 squatters on Hussein Farm in Mombasa County, Kenya, have been left homeless after police officers demolished their dwellings and set their bedding on fire.

30 police officers and prison wardens were deployed to conduct the eviction, with the squatters complaining that they were not given eviction notices, or served with demolition orders.
