CORD leader Raila Odinga has actually begged with Meru Governor Peter Munya to sign up with the resistance union in advance of the 2017 political elections.
The CORD leader held the informal talks with Munya during the continuous Devolution Conference happening in Meru.
He is said to have asked Munya to jump ship and actualize his ambition to run for the Presidency in future.
Munya is keen on jumping ship from the Jubilee Coalition saying the formation of the party is to help Deputy President William Ruto ascend to the presidency come the 2017 elections.
” Raila has always been a friend of Munya’s and they have spoken in detail about many things including 2017,” an aide of the former Prime Minister told News24.
Munya is said to be looking to form his own party but a move to the opposition coalition would be seen as a bold move and statement.
